An Invitation to Meeting for Worship

We welcome all who desire to worship with us. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the Friend charged with care of meeting for the day. Worship begins when the first person enters our meeting room. By 10:00 a.m. we are waiting in silent anticipation of experiencing God's presence.

We try to be prompt in order to minimize disruptions during the meeting for worship, but in case of late arrival, adults will be requested to wait until 10:15 before entering the meeting room. Younger participants may be directed to join our First Day School downstairs for their activities.

Friends believe that access to God comes from the Light within each of us. We worship in contemplative silence with occasional spoken ministry. At the end of the hour, the young people rejoin us to share in silent worship for a short time. Then the Friend charged with care of meeting for the day rises, the meeting ends and we join in a circle to ask for prayers for any person or situation we wish to hold in God's Light.

After the meeting is over, we will be happy to answer questions or to show you around the meeting house. Please sign our guest book and feel free to read our literature.
